    Robbie Kelley

    Robbie has more than 15 years of M&A experience and leads Northborne’s services practice, advising clients across commercial, facility, residential and related services sectors.

    Prior to Northborne, Robbie was a Partner at Solomon Partners and previously held a senior M&A role at Piper Sandler, focusing on advising services businesses.

    Robbie earned his degree from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management.

    Fun fact: Robbie has three beautiful daughters, including identical twins. An avid golfer, Robbie was a member of the University of Minnesota men’s golf team and for a very brief moment, was technically a professional golfer.

  • Dan Davidson

    Dan Davidson

    Dan has over 25 years of experience with more than 100 completed M&A, strategic advisory, and complex financing deals, bringing a rare combination of operational depth, entrepreneurial drive and financial expertise to every engagement. Prior to joining Northborne, Dan partnered with Lindsay Goldberg to co-found Sero Mental Health, a national behavioral health platform. Prior to Sero, Dan was a co-founder and Managing Director of Coker Capital Securities, a premier M&A advisory firm focused exclusively on middle-market healthcare that was acquired by Fifth Third Securities in 2018.

    Dan holds a degree in Financial Management from Clemson University. He is a former Marine Corps Sergeant who served during the Persian Gulf War and was assigned to a unit tasked with conducting unconventional warfare by air, land, and sea.

    Dan currently serves on the boards of Sero Mental Health and Care Predictor, is a founder and advisor to the Sero Scientific Advisory Board, sits on the Steering Committee for the Behavioral Health Outcomes Consortium, and serves on the Innovation Committee Board of the Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute.

    Fun fact: Dan is a lifelong angler who grew up sportfishing and has cast a line in waters all over the world – from remote fly fishing destinations to deep-sea pursuits on multiple continents. Whether he’s chasing trophy fish or closing complex transactions, the same instincts apply: preparation, patience and knowing the waters you’re in.

  • Eric Nicholson

    Eric Nicholson

    Eric has over 30 years of experience advising private and public companies, private equity investors and entrepreneurs on M&A transactions.

    Prior to co-founding Northborne, Eric was a senior investment banker at Piper Jaffray and a partner at Greene Holcomb Fisher. Following BMO’s acquisition of GHF, he became Head of BMO Middle Market M&A. He began his career as a corporate attorney at Dorsey & Whitney.

    Eric earned a JD from the University of Minnesota Law School and a BA from Carleton College. Eric has served on the adjunct faculty at the University of Minnesota Law School, the board of directors of the Wilder Foundation, and as a discussion leader for the Anderson Center for Management and Leadership Development.

    Fun fact: Eric hails from Northfield, Minnesota, famous for Defeat of Jesse James Days, Malt O Meal cereal, St. Olaf College, Eric’s alma mater Carleton College, and the proudly quirky slogan “Cows, Colleges, and Contentment.” After living in St. Paul for more than 25 years, he’s discovered the State’s Capital City offers plenty of colleges and contentment of its own. The cows, however, are still in Northfield.

  • Mark Horvick

    Mark Horvick

    Mark has 15 years of experience advising middle-market companies on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and financings. He has completed transactions for entrepreneurs, private equity sponsors and public companies across a broad range of industries.

    Prior to co-founding Northborne, Mark was a Managing Director at Cowen, where he led the Healthcare Services effort, and a Principal at Greene Holcomb Fisher. He began his career practicing M&A law at Kirkland & Ellis, advising private equity clients on complex corporate transactions.

    Mark earned a JD/MBA from Indiana University–Bloomington and a BA from Augsburg College.

    Fun fact: Mark is passionate about golf, though remains very average in his abilities. He’s played for 35+ years but still struggles with those 3 foot putts and has yet to find a coach who can fix his slice. If he’s not working or with his family, he’s most likely on the course or on the way to one.

  • Paul Jevnick

    Paul Jevnick

    Paul has 30 years of deal-making experience as both an M&A attorney and investment banker. He has completed transactions for more than 100 privately held clients, with deep expertise in the consumer and industrial sectors.

    Prior to co-founding Northborne, Paul led the Middle Market Consumer M&A team at BMO Capital Markets and was a partner at Greene Holcomb Fisher. Earlier in his career, he held senior roles at Piper Jaffray Companies and practiced M&A and securities law at Morrison & Foerster and Faegre & Benson.

    Paul earned a JD from Cornell Law School and a BS from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.

    Fun fact: Paul is a massive English football fan and proudly supports Tottenham Hotspur.  He has attended more than 75 matches across England, Wales and Scotland, making a pilgrimage to the UK every fall for the last 16 years.  COYS!

  • Benjamin Marks

    Benjamin Marks

    Ben has spent his career advising closely held businesses, private equity firms and corporations on complex sell-side M&A transactions.

    Prior to co-founding Northborne, Ben was a Managing Director at BMO Capital Markets, where he played a key role in building and leading the firm’s highly successful short line railroad advisory practice. In addition, he focused on specialty industrial sectors including transportation, chemicals, packaging and short line railroads.

    Ben joined BMO through its acquisition of Greene Holcomb Fisher.

    Ben earned a BS from Boston College’s Carroll School of Management.
