    Julie has over five years supporting executives in the tech, healthcare, and financial industries. Prior to Northborne, Julie held similar roles at Brentwood Capital Advisors and Galen Mental Health.

    She attended Georgia State University and Truett McConnell University.

    Fun fact: Julie was an extra in the 1989 movie Major League.

    Matt Skurich

    Matt has over five years of experience supporting financial and professional services firms.

    He earned a BA from the University of Minnesota-Duluth and an MBA from The College of St. Scholastica.

    Fun fact: Matt has been able to recite the lines from Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace since watching it literally every day one summer during elementary school.

  • Mackenzie VanSickle

    Mackenzie VanSickle

    Mackenzie has more than 15 years of experience in finance and accounting.

    Her background includes auditing at RSM, advisory and consulting work and most recently serving as Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting at a telecommunications company.

    Mackenzie earned a Bachelor of Accounting from the University of Minnesota Duluth’s Labovitz School of Business and Economics and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

    Fun fact: Mackenzie stays busy with four small kids but still loves to travel. She has gone viral (multiple times) due to a photo of her and her friends having a strange optical illusion during a visit to an elephant sanctuary in Thailand. Whether the photo is real or not is still fiercely debated on Reddit.

  • Scott Theisen

    Scott Theisen

    Scott has over a decade of M&A transaction experience across the healthcare, infrastructure and food and consumer sectors and currently serves as Chief Operating Officer, overseeing the firm’s day-to-day operations, internal processes and infrastructure to ensure efficient execution across all engagements.

    Prior to Northborne, Scott was a member of the Middle Market M&A team at BMO Capital Markets. He began his investment banking career at Greene Holcomb Fisher in 2013, which was later acquired by BMO in 2016.

    Scott earned a BA in Economics, magna cum laude, from Carleton College.

    Fun fact: Scott has not paid for a haircut in 15+ years as he cuts his own hair at home.
