Owns or leases 116 freight railroads with 7,300 employees serving 3,000 customers. G&W’s Cape Breton & Central Nova Scotia Railway (CBNS) includes 145 miles of active track. Under this partnership, CN will acquire a stake in CBNS and manage interline movements for customers, while a G&W subsidiary will continue to operate the CBNS line from Truro to Point Tupper, Nova Scotia.

Transports more than 300 million tons of natural resources, manufactured products and finished goods throughout North America every year. CN’s network connects Canada’s Eastern and Western coasts with the U.S. South through an 18,600-mile rail network.
